Saw a nice, late model motorhome on my way to work.  It was towing a newish F-350 with a golf cart in the truck bed.

I am at a loss to understand why they would need that heavy a truck as a toad.  Surely the golf thingy can't be heavy enough to require that much truck and it seems unlikely they plan to occasionally switch and tow the biggun with the pickup.

Does not seem strange to me, Newt.  Maybe they have no other car to tow, or the other car is not towable or they simply want to bring the golf cart and the F350 does the job. They probably have the F350 for some reason (other than towing it), so that's what's available to them.

You see,,, When they need to go up a hill and the MH is not powerful enough, they climb into the F-350 and push. And if that is not enough they get out the tow chain and hook it to the golf cart.

And if you think I'm being serious........ think again

I'm fond of my F-550 too but I don't think I'd use it as a toad.

The 1500 series pickups are great though and I would certainly tow mine if I ever moved over to a Class A.
