The Southeast Rally got underway a day early with eight rigs already on site.    The Countryside Resort campground is quite pleasant and owners Ron & Carol Fernandez couldn't be more helpful. The gang gathered around as folks came in and we all caught up a bit on gossip. Went out to dinner at a local restaurant (Demo's - excellent) and several folks gathered at the Brinck's coach afterwards.

The rest of the gang is expected Thursday.

And more heavy rain headed this way according to the radar.

Be sure to take and post some photos when the rain quits.

It looks like the rain is moving out just in time for tonights opening burger feed.  It's still a bit cool, 65F right now.

Wish we could be there with y'all and also wish we could be at the Grand Ole Opry with you tomorrow. We'll be watching the show on TV, so you folks that are going, be sure to wear your RV Forum hats and wave your RV Forum flags so we can recognize you.

Another great evening with entertainment compliments of the two Daves (Reavis and Derway) on the Dulcimer (one a hammer dulcimer).

It was so much fun I stayed up well past my usual bed time :)

We just made it home frome the Southeast Rally in Nashville.
Cross winds were terrible, but we made it safely.
Suzanne and I had a wonderful time at the rallye.
This is by far the best group of RVers we have ever met.
And we learned more in 4 days than we have in months reading books and surfing the internet.
The meeting was well planned, well organized, Gary and Nancy did a great job, and everyone attending were outstanding.
Hope we can attend more of these.
Suzanne and Giles.

Suzanne & Giles:

It was a delight to meet you and hope to see you down the road. Hope you get to do more RVing out west.

Suzanne & Giles,

Glad you enjoyed the rally.  Gary & Nancy do a great job with the Southeast rally.  Wish we could have been there.

Jeff and Sue, enjoyed meeting you all, and thanks for all the good tips. We have been lucky enough to travel around the world, but thank goodness, for the next 20 years, we want to stay in US and Cananda, and it feels so good to stay at home now and meet people who have tons of memories to share, and superb knowledge about RVing for newcomers like us. Thanks a million. Suzanne and Giles.

The Grand Ole Opry was splendid - everybody who went had a great time!  It was a bit strange - the show is broadcast live on radio (WSM - the Opry's own station) and one hour of it is on tv as well. They do radio commercials as matter of course during the entire show and during the tv segments you can see the camera men on & around the  stage doing their thing. And the stage hands changing the stage set-up between each act.  They also show the audience on the tv, but we weren't close enough to the stage to be seen on camera.

Even though we had "nose bleed" seats in the balcony, we had a 8+ foot tv screen near us so we could always see the stage up close when we wanted. And the audio was, well, like being there!
