A neighbor passed along his copy of the May issue of Outdoor Life which carries the results of their Best Fly Rods '08 tests. The Sage Z-Axis scored among the top performers and best designs. Videos of their tests and results will eventually be on their web site.
 
Thanks for the info Tom, I need to get a new rod and reel.  I tend to mess up the eyes one way or another on my poles and I hate trying to replace them.  Used to get anglers inn to replace them but they are now out of business.    They tell me this Skagit river across the street from my locale has 7 kinds of salmon in it.  Dang this summer should be some fun fishing.

Lastest word is the King start their run up river tomorrow and I have to work.  LOL  Ok so I will just go fishing monday.  Limit is two trout over 14 inches.  They have 5 species of pacific salmon, bull trout, rainbows, and dolly varton.    And they tell me catching many under 14 inches is rare.  Interesting
