We stopped in Tolland, CT to visit Pat & Jim Dick for a couple days this past week. Pete Harpin drove his Honda Valkyrie down from Boston to spend Tuesday evening with us - we went to a local place for pizza and had a great time. Had not seen Pete for a couple years, so we had some catching up to do.
Then on Thursday George & Anne Foster drove over from Torrington and met us for lunch at a Friendly's Resaurant in East Hartford. George & Anne have hung up the RV keys but are associated with RVing through their employment in a large family campground. George is office manager and Anne manages the large store, so they are busy this time of year. Afterwards we went over to a new Cabella's store nearby and browsed around for a couple hours. Lightened my wallet a bit too!
Now we have journeyed on to Amesburry Mass and are visiting a couple that we workamped with in Rockport, ME back in 2004. Will be meeting some other ex co-workers in July at Bar Harbor as well. We've made some great friends through our workamping experiences and have kept in touch with many of them.
