leveling jacks

Some of the class c motorhomes we have looked at have leveling jacks and some do not. Can anyone tell me what you do if you buy a class c without them? Are they really necessary? One person told us that they just used boards. Did not sound safe to me.. Thanks for your replies and input to this newcomer.........Stell

Many folks do indeed use boards under one or more wheels to level a motorhome. Just be sure that the boards are wide enough for the tires or, in the case of duallies on the rear, wide enough for both tires.

Stell, boards are a little more work than jacks, since you have to keep moving the RV until you get the right number of boards. I would go for the jacks if you have a choice.
