I sold my station when we began fulltiming, but may start accumulating some gear again.

Some of these modern "All in one" boxes can fit in a right small place

I have a Kenwood TS-2000, it fits in my half-bath quite nicely  Both Kenwood and Yesau make "Remote" models as well, if I'd gotten the remote model I could have mounted the radio in the basement and all I'd need at the operating position would be a control head.. Basically the front 2 or so inches of the radio, and a speaker.

Most of my gear has been sold too.  Now that we have an A I'll probably rebuy some gear.  In our stay in the park model, time and space prevented me from doing anything.  With the A I could set something up.  Not sure about the time to use it though.

The Icom 706 is a great candidate!  Remote head and all, does it all.  Screwdriver antenna, just need to solve the groundplane issues.
