Hello, noob here.  Quick question if anyone has experience with Jayco pop ups.

The slot where the pole that supports the canopy over the queen bed has come free from the mounting.  Really not sure how to discribe it.  Best way I can do it is the pole attaches to end part (where the screen is) and then connects up near the roof area into a slot.  This keeps the canopy tight.  Now I need to fix it but unsure how to go about this?

Can someone lend some advice?

Thx,

James

James-
Sorry I am just catching up and saw your post.  I had a Jayco 1207 for several years, so I know exactly what you are talking about.  Did the screws come out of the plywood?  Is the plywood rotten?  Is there a leak?

You don't have pole length to add a plywood base, so I would see about getting a lightweight steel plate (I am thinking something like you see on decks some time - go to the deck brace section at Lowe's and you will see what I am talking about) that you could screw your slotted piece to and then screw the plate on to hard plywood.

Does this make sense?
