Nothing like dredging up past birthdays!  I too am August, the 8th and I will hit 60 this year.  Being 08/08 my Dad always told me it was a lucky day.  Then last year on 08/08/08 and the Olympics in China, and then finding that they consider 8 a lucky number, well it just goes to show, Father Knows Best.

Betty, Liz and the rest of the August kids, looking forward to mine!
