Am looking to replace a CRT TV w/ LCD, Would like to hang a 19?LCD above dashboard. The LCD weighs 8.50 lbs
Present 19? is in lower part of dash area. Have considered building some type of frame to hold new LCD in same location as present TV. However, would like to hang above dash.  Any suggestions of how it should be done?

John,

It might help with suggestions if you take a photo of the front of your coach where you would like to make the modification and attach the photo to a reply in this thread.  You would do that by using the "Additional Options" at the bottom left of the message composition window.

That way Forum members can make specific recommendations.

Some people have had an RV cabinet maker build rather attractive integrated mounts for LCD TV's in RV's.

Others simply set the LCD TV on top of the dashboard, and stow it on the bed while in transit.

One of the designs by a forum member, shown in this library file, might give you an idea or two. Probably a bigger job than you were thinking of, but it's a creative way of "hanging" an LCD TV and having it fold up out of the way for transit.
