Have learned an expensive lesson. On our trip from Lake Gaston, NC to Mt Rushmore I ran the first two days at 55mph to improve miles-per-gallon and got 7.9mpg. I noticed that the tranny never got to 6th gear (overdrive), come to find out I have to be at least 58mph before it will up-shift. Ran the next two days at 59mph and fuel consumption improved to 9.2mpg.
Also it doesn't seem to make any difference in 'mpg' whether I use Roof or Dash Air. Vehicle is a 2007 Diplomat.
