We took a 4 day weekend over to Ludington State Park on Lake Michigan this week.  The papers said that this area was about 30%-40% color changed.  Not at the peak but the weather was nice and some colors were out.  The salmon were also running.

Yup.  Coho and chinook.  They were planted in the Great Lakes a number of year back to control the the exploding population of alewives.    It worked and the salmon became a fishery on their own.  I remember seeing a full fledged salmon run in the Grand River in Grand Rapids -- remarkable, a salmon run in a city.

You know.. The street where I live is called Riverview.... That is the river (Yes, it runs all the way from or rather TO Detroit)

I is about a block or 2 from my house  Used to ride our bikes over there (Daughter and I)

Never seen any salmon this far east though
