I have a travel trailer that has a tarp underneath it holding insulation in.  I am guessing this is pretty standard.  It looks like a seam in the middle of the tarp opened up.  I noticed this just this week.  We are in Northern Minnesota so it is getting cold out.  I tried using duct tape to close the hole but it barely stuck to the tarp (due to cold).  My wife is super paranoid of mice!  Thus, I need to find a way to seal up this tear.  I am thinking some sort of a patch like putting silicone on a second tarp and sticking it to the tore one, kind of like a big patch (the tear is about 3 feet long).  Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks,
Peter
