Recently I noticed a posting regarding travel to Mexico.  It got my attention because I had recently seen warnings about travel in that region.

The state department has a web site with information on many countries and posts travel advisories when appropriate.  These advisories have information about crime, violence, even severe weather in these areas.

The web site address is: http://travel.state.gov/travel/travel_1744.HTML

I would recommend anyone planning international travel to go there and take a look.

Here is the information that is currently being displayed about Mexico:

There is a general information page which can be helpful also, it provides all kinds of information about Mexico including severe weather advisories.  http://travel.state.gov/travel/xis_pa_wt/xis/xis_970.HTML

There has been a lot of discussion here recently on the violence going on in Mexico and the warnings against travel there.  Anybody that ignores these warnings are just putting theirselves at risk.

:) Suggest you read here before you make up your mind about travel in Mexico:

We should be in La Paz in February if our finances will allow it!
