Boing Boing had a you tube video of this artist doing music on the ukulele as if it were a 12 string classic guitar!

From there I went to the NPR website to listen to this 7 min interview:

Then on to his website and on to Amazon to look over his 10 albums. I am quite taken by his skill and quality, planning to buy a couple of the albums.

I found Jake a few years ago. Here is a video of Jake playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps. There are no words to describe this guy.

Wow!  I have to wonder what Jake could do with six or twelve strings!!!  Thanks for that video.

I'm sorry but it would not be as good with a 6 or 12 string guitar.

I think you missed my point.  As a guitarist, I can appreciate the accuracy and intensity and of Jake's playing (not to mention the subtle nuances in the slower, quieter passages).  Jake is obviously blessed with an intimate knowledge of the ukulele, but I can only imagine the sounds he could get out of a six or twelve string.  We could have another Leo Kottke or John Fahey here (although Jake can easily be described as a master of the uke).
