What's the effect of the exchange rate and the economy?
« on: December 26, 2008, 09:45:42 AM »
With the $US/ exchange rate  at 1.47:1 as I type, has this affected the plans of Brits intending to cross the Atlantic to buy an RV?

Is this a bigger or smaller factor than the state of the UK and world economy?

it has messed us up with the euro.

we are in malta for 6 weeks and budgeted in november at 1.25euro to the pound.

the rate is now 1.03euro to the pound.

the holiday is now 400 more expensive.

thankfully, the beer is included in price.

A big ouch Paul, actually two.

Just don't spend as much as you planned, then when you change your euros back to sterling, you'll think you had a great deal  ;D
