TIRE REMOVAL
Twelve photos should give everyone a good idea, of what is entailed in the removal of a large and heavy motorhome tire. The one thing I mentioned before, but forgot, was the purchase of a decent size crow bar. I ordered this torque wrench in October and didn't receive it unit just recently, I believe even a younger person might have forgot that crow bar over a 4 months period!
The larger crow bar would have made removing and replacing that larger tire a little easier. Having said that, I had no problems I couldn't handle with the smaller bar. Also notice in the middle of the photos, the brake line and ABS cable problem was corrected. I had tie-wrapped that loose bracket almost a year ago. If I waited for Freightliner to do it under warranty, I would have probably waited another year!! :
Thanks to this removal one item poped up that I didn't consider. I was able to remove the rear dual "wheel simulator" with the tools I now posess. However, if I wanted to remove the rear dual tires, I would need a longer 3/4 inch drive socket extention. I found just what I needed at Amazon.com; with FREE shipping to boot.
3/4 inch X 16 inch, socket extention
