My Roadtrek is a 190 Versatile (Dodge 5.2 liter chassis) that I bought new in 1993. With 206,000 miles, it still seems as good as new and continues to be a pleasure to drive. I frequently travel from my central California home to the Seattle area (grandkids) and sometimes I encounter chain controls on I-5, especially in Northern California. I use cable chains that I really don't like. They are very hard to install, and even harder to remove, especially when the wind is blowing 60 MPH and the temperature is below freezing and the installation and removal areas are not cleared of snow. If anyone has found a type of traction device that is acceptable to the highway department and is easy to install and remove, I would be glad to hear about it. There is an advertisement on the internet describing a product called Diamond Tire Chains that sounds pretty good. Has anyone tried them?
