I looked at the Lance 1040 and really liked the rear fold-down tent feature and the side door entry. But at a dry wt of 2420 lbs it was a little too much wt for my 2500 gmc. I was considering getting a trailor hitch shelf to carry a dirt bike but again - too heavy. So I'm going with a Lance 815 and the wife and I will carry bikes in the crew cab. If I could I would get that 1040 though.
