Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with a Honeywell 2000i inverter.  It looks like a Honda, but is considerably less expensive.

I work in the outdoor power equipment field. We are starting to see units like the Honeywell, Kippor, and others, we call them 'chondas'. They are Chinese built knock offs of the Honda and there is a good reason they are cheaper. The manufacturers are copying the better machines with inferior materials and cheap castings. There is limited after sales support, the importers buy a boat load of them then strip some for parts. Briggs and Stratton makes some of the generators but the Honeywell people are putting Chinese engines on them.
Some do well with them but if you have a problem, you are on your own.
