This was a question from another forum I had regarding flat towing our 99 CR-V as well as wanting to bring our golf cart simultaneously. I'm hoping others will respons as I'm not sure if my Allegro can tow both, so I'm looking for a solution to tow both CR-V and golf cart.
"The GVWR on our Allegro is 26000lbs. Loaded with people, fuel (diesel and propane) liquids and "stuff and things" we're about 22000 lbs. Our '99 Honda CRV weighs about 3100 lbs when loaded with 4 bikes. I guess my question is do I have enough of a rear axle to use a Blue Ox Sport Carrier http://www.rvupgradestore.com/index.asp ... ProdID=160 as I want to continue to flat tow the CRV or do I need a unit like the http://www.racecityrvproducts.com/
Still new to the whole towing thing so not sure when and hoe the cargo carrying capacity thing comes into play. Again, we still want to flat tow the Honda, but bring along the 4 seater electric(lifted cart with big tires and wheels)at the same time."
