I just went to the Fleetwood site and there is an announcement that they have quit the Travel Trailer business.  I am sure all of the dealers with new units on their lots love that.

That leaves a lot of market for the rest.

Title changed by request.

I was all over their corporate and RV sites and saw nothing to that effect ??? ???

I just checked www.fleetwoodrv.com and they are still advertising their products.

Jeff,

I just checked the same www.fleetwoodrv.com site and got this message when I clicked on Find a Dealer:

Thank you for your interest in Fleetwood Travel Trailers. On March 9, 2009, Fleetwood made the decision to exit the travel trailer business. While we will no longer produce new travel trailer products, several Fleetwood dealers still have a variety of our travel trailers and fifth wheels available for purchase. Please feel free to use this website to research our entire product line and to locate a Fleetwood dealer near you.

Visiting the previous mentioned Fleetwood site will get you the message if searching for trailers.  However, click on American Coach, diesel, or Gas motorhomes and it will take to to the appropriate site.  I believe it was mentioned in another post thet Fleetwood was pulling out of the manufacture of RV trailers.

Being that their statement applies only to travel trailers and not to motorhomes, perhaps someone should change the title of this thread to "Fleetwood Out Of The Travel Trailer Business."  The word RV is very misleading in this case.

I agree with ArdraF, the title is very misleading and should be changed....My heart started pounding when I read the title!

Fleetwood did indeed state they are shutting down their travel trailer line of business. This was stated even before they announced the Chapter 11 filing.

There is a reference to it in this press release on the Fleetwood site:

Just heard today that Monaco sold 13 coaches at FMCA- Perry last month, Fleetwood 0. Kind of surprising that Fleetwood couldn't move even 1.

Don't you suppose their (Monaco's) discounts were a little deeper?

And weren't most convention attendees aware of a potential Monaco buyer being escorted around by a Monaco exec?  (I bet the Monaco salesmen were making potential MH buyers think it was a done deal.)

Yes, Dave, I do feel better about that title.  Thanks!  :D
