Just saw that the Hoover Dam bypass bridge on U.S. 93 is approximately 85 percent finished with project completion expected in October 2010.  The bridge's center span should be finished in October 2009.  Some facts about it.

Official name - Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (O'Callaghan was a Nevada Governor in the 1970s and Tillman was the pro football player killed in Afghanistan).

The bridge is 1,500 feet south of the Hoover Dam and will cross the Black Canyon 890 feet above the Colorado River.

It is a single span arch concrete-and-steel compostion bridge measuring 88 feet wide and 1,960 feet long.
