Can I run the diesel engine and charge the onboard air compressor to inflate my tires while camped with the jacks down.  I ask this because the leveling jacks bleed the air before extending the jacks.  I could not find any reference to this in my Winnie manual.

We've done that on occasion without any problems.  We do dump the air bags after shutting down.  But you really don't have to inflate the tires until you're ready to move out.

I have definitely done that in my 02 Horizon. With jacks down; slides out, I started the engine, and aired up the tires with no problem. The bags do not inflate. Of course the jacks-down alarm was beeping, but it's only doing what it's supposed to.

This post is 2 days old so I'm curious about the results. I know there is a condition on the HWH that the bleed valves stay open unless told to close by the operator that will never allow the tanks to fill.
