If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It is probably a very good thing that Jeff was there to translate.  Thanks Jeff for getting Russ to the Hospital and translating.

Margi,

I have been told repeatedly by my nurse daughter and other nurses, that DRs are the worst patients so let us hope that Russ is the exception.  :)

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Russ.

We are here in Texas, at Ned and Lorna's buddy lot and Ned brought me up to date on Russ' recent health issues.  Please pass along Donna and my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I stopped by and saw Russ tonight. Other than a minor seeping around the surgical site he was comfortable and the Dr is still planning on releasing him tomorrow. He has finished one book and is working on the second today.

Nurses still seem to be getting along with him OK.

Russ, Bev says we both get to technical --but your at the top of today's prayer list. I ran the Virtual Campfire last Wed from Hall Bed 3 in the MD Anderson Emergency Center, so don't let 'em pull it outa your hands!

Thanks, Betty and Jeff, you were Angels, unaware. . .

I just posted this on Bev & Bob's CarePages: Bev's CarePages

TO: God.com

Dear Lord,

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com

Thanks Bob. That's a keeper. You and especially Bev are at the top of our prayer list.

Wendy

Russ, we certainly hope you are at home tonight and doing much better.

I'm home at 3 PM Sat after waiting for 3 different doctors to make rounds.

I am so grateful for all your responses... thank you.

I also give thanks to my classmate Ron Grooters who did my bypass 22 yrs ago in 1987. I've had to have a couple of patch jobs but It is remarkable to have lasted this long.

Will check in with the cath jockey next week and have good prospects for getting to Zion on time.

Thanks Betty and Jeff for looking in on Russ.  Fortunately, having stents is not as intrusive as open heart surgery, so Russ should be up and out very soon.

Hey Russ

Good that you are back home - please take things easy and LISTEN TO THE DOCS !!!  ;D
