Hello all! I am new to the forum (and new to RV-ing). I am renovating a 1972 Dodge Balboa and would like your expertise about blackwater tank configuration.

The original Balboa had a recirculating toilet, a small (16 gal.) blackwater tank and no greywater tank. I would like to increase the size of the blackwater tank, but my bumper configuration is making it a bit tricky.

Please see the attached pictures. The red area is the bumper frame, which has to be worked around. The green area would be the new tank. What do you think of this configuration? Are there problems with this that I can't envision?

Many thanks!
Cheese

The only obvious problem that I see is that your inlet is below the top of the center part of the tank.  Unless you have your tank vented in that center raised area, it will not fill since air pressure will prevent fluid from filling that area.
