Trouble setting up awning 2004 Jayco Pup
« on: June 04, 2009, 08:11:41 PM »
Hi everyone !
I have 2004 Jayco Pup . My wife  and I had a Starcraft Pup years ago, so setting the Jayco there's no problem.  The only thing is the awning.  There is pole in the front edge , a down support pole on each end and three spring tension poles to hold the awning out.  I have a very hard time compressing the tension poles ( almost imposible w/o help from neighbor ). Has anyone had the same trouble and might have a suggestion or sollution.  Maybe I'm doing something wrong.  Looking forward to your help.

Thanks

Bill G

When we had our pop-up (starcraft), the poles needed to be turned about a half a turn before you could compress them.  I don't know if yours work the same way or not.

Just a thought.
