I just heard about this today, another reality show but this ones
all based on an rv roadtrip.

I think it will be fun to watch.

It may be funny, but it looks like so many other "reality" shows today.  Not really reality at at all.  They seem to go out of their way to find the dumbest people in the world for these things.  And this show looks to be no exception.  I'm sure when all is said and done, it will be nothing like a real RV road trip, and may even discourage others from trying the experience.  Y'all enjoy the show...I won't be watching it.  My reality lies on the Sci-Fi channel!

Pat loves reality TV, but I'm weary of it.....But, if it has to do with RVing (if even in a warped way) I'm sure I'll be watching this one.  Might even learn something :-\

May learn a lot of new ways NOT to do something.  ::) ::)

First time I watched RobinWilliams RV I was put off - after 2nd 3rd became a favorite and always have it along in case my day needs brightening.

Don't know if this new show will grow on me or turn me off -- but I am going to give it a look.

WELL I LOOKED !! !!  Any one else see it last night.  Am absolutely amazed at the casualness(?) of the style of driving.  WOW !! that was frightening.    JMHO

I like reality shows and was ready to watch this one to see what stupid things these families would do in an RV. But I was absolutely appalled watching the people on this show walking around the RV, standing, laying on the sofa, while the RV was traveling down the highway. The only person I saw wearing a seatbelt was the driver. The producers of this show are not setting a good example for anyone traveling in an RV.

Hope it settles down / wises up.  Gonna be a lot of 'wanna be's' out there sayin' "Hey, that looks easy."  ;D ;D ;D "Let's go."  NO apparent RV Driving School  - of any kind.

Well, it wasn't exactly The Amazing Race, and it did show the stupidity of the producers in respect to all the people wandering around the RV while moving.  I agree, with Wendy...not a good example :p

Can't say we learned much about Lincoln Land or St. Louis, either :D
Will probably keep watcing for awhile & see if it gets better :-\

Pretty mediocre show and very little about actually RVing, except maybe an illustration of all the worst practices while underway!  We had the show entered into the DVR recording schedule, but deleted it after watching the first show.

Starting out  a convoy in downtown Chicago would have terrified me to begin with, but I guess it's not so scary if you are clueless. And have a cop escort to get you started.

Not much support from the RV gallery here!  ;)  I missed it last night, but heard from my wife that my 4yo thought it was pretty cool!  The first leg of the Rt. 66 trip supposedly went from Chicago to St. Louis, which means that whole convoy went right through our town at some point recently.

Sadly, I rarely expect TV shows to set a good example of any kind nowadays...  :-\

For anyone interested, Hulu has the reruns of the show online a day later.  I'm a big fan of that website... more free TV shows than you could possibly ever watch.

The one that cracked me up was the new yorker that couldn't figure out how to start the coach.  We at least teach them that much.

I rest my case!

I didn't watch it...won't watch it...y'all just confirmed what I said above.  The one thing I possible got wrong was "may even discourage others from trying the experience".  Instead, I think Maddog may be correct..."Gonna be a lot of 'wanna be's' out there sayin' "Hey, that looks easy."    "Let's go.""

Did anyone also notice as they were traveling down 66 (I-55 actually) all rigs were running in the Greyhound lane ???  Now that makes a lot of sense for first time RV drivers :D

Oh Well, that's Hollywood :p

Good post, and I agree that we also thought it was "pretty mediocre"......An hour full of people that are selfish and apparently that type stuff sells on our networks now a days.  ::)

While the family from NY is very iritating to watch, particularly the father, I will continue to watch it in the hope that they point the camera out the window from time to time and I can catch some of the RT 66 scenery.  While I think the family from Conn didn't deserve to lose so quickly I guess they let their feelings of superior education get in their way.  One of my favorite movies is RV with Robin Williams, not because he does things right but because he does things wrong.  I don't think any of us need a role model when it comes to RVing.  I can't wait for the show on dumping the black water tank.  Just my humble opinion.

Based on what I've seen so far, I doubt most of these people will figure out that they need to dump the doo-doo, unless someone tells them too and so farthey haven't been in RV parks with real RVers so there's no one but the producers and staff to tell them the things they need to do. On the other hand, telling them they need to dump without giving them any instructions could lead to some interesting film clips.

I haven't seen it but I rember another one where they showed them dumping and the woman in it put the sewer hose over the end of the potable water fitting and said " How gross" i agreed and turned it off.

saw one of the advertisements where one of the mhs gets stuck under something
that was low clearance, hehehe, bet the network people paid bit time for that big
mistake.
