Seeking Suggestions of Favorite RVs

Hi all,

New to this forum but been camping all my life. In our adult life we began in a tent (honeymooned that way in fact 30+years ago). We graduated to a pop up with kids and have had 3 VW pop ups. We recently traded in eurovan with pop up for a larger Rialta (1995). We are now considering our retirement vehicle and plan to go newer and more reliable. Not necessarily larger. We do insist on bathroom with closing door (no shower needed). We also prefer floorplans with table option up front if we want to leave the bed down/out. There are so many choices but not a lot of review available. Any suggestions from others with experience? We'd love to hear them.

We to have morphed from tents to backpacks, to canoes to 4 wheeled RV's.  At present at age 65 we have a Chev Extended Van and have added a Sportsmobile Penthouse top to it.  To be honest Sportsmobile is a pricey product but the top does give us the room we wanted.  The Sportsmobile penthouse top lets us stow the bed ready to use and then also have a table that we can use.  So, as things progress - and age - we find that our present rig is just what WE need.  Just make sure that what ever you do  it matches your needs and wants.  Enjoy this great land of ours.

You can check out floor plans using the following site for Winnebago, select year and model.  Other manufactures may have a similar website.  RVTRADEr.net lists RVs with price and many times the floorplan.

We have just traded down from 26' class C to Roadtrek 210 Popular because it fits in a standard parking place, didn't want diesel, can keep it at home and drive it shopping, no need to tow, toilet door closes, bed can always be available, large refrigerator and convection/microwave oven, tables can be set up front or rear, handles better than three other class C and A we have owned, reputation and sufficient storage. We miss GPS, backup TV, extra driving lights but will add after market. It all depends on the criteria you set. We liked the Pleasureway, Leisure Travel and Great West.  It's hard to go wrong if you're buying new as there is less risk of surprises.  There are a lot of used favorites if cost is an important criteris.
