My 1998 Chieftain has the plastic around it.  I take it you removed it.

I had a bolt on either side on the bottom.

I had a metal bracket that went up the side and over the top and down the other side.  this bracket needed to be lifted up and pushed back for my TV to come out over the metal tab front bottom.  Seems to me the bolts were in the cabinets on either side of the tv.

The metal bracket held the tv down and the metal tab bottom front kept it from sliding out.

Hope this gives you some ideas.

I too had this problem with my '95 Brave. After also removing every screw I could find (to no avail), I found the magic ones! The problem was getting the trim around the TV off. If you open the glass covers on both sides you'll see two screws on each side holding in the frame. Simply remove them and you can pull the trim straight out. From there you can access all of the hardware holding the TV in.
