Dallas sunset & night shoot
« on: November 30, 2009, 10:40:24 AM »
I am posting a few images taken during a field trip I led for one of the photo clubs here.  We had 30 photographers for the event, which lasted only 1.5 hours.  A couple of the images were shot just as the sun was going down and the panorama is an art interpretation of the sunset before it was fully down.

Ron,

I am VERY impressed because I understand how difficult it is to get good night pictures.  Good Job!

Ron,

Great shots!! I love the one of Reunion Tower. Had a lovely dinner there with Pat on one of my trips to Dallas. Only wish we knew you then. I must have made at least 20 trips for training or seminars with Rockwell International!!!

No HDR  The Reunion Tower shot  and the reflection were around 2 seconds I think.  I'd have to go into my metadata to be sure.

Jim:  It sure would have been nice to cross paths then.  We were not too far from Rockwell.

You've gotten sunsets down to a science, Ron.  :) :) Am very impressed with these images . . .

Actually, I'm "dazzled" as well.  ;)

Thanks Ernie.  Looking forward to your return and getting the new carpet.

We are currently at the Holiday Rally.  Pretty good turn-out.   We are expecting a couple of inches of snow tomorrow and the expected temperature for Saturday AM is 20 degree.  Wish you were here.

Ernie:    Right here, we only got a flurry and nothing stuck, but it is cold.  We are still expecting 20 degrees tonight.
