Inventor of digital camera honored

Steve Sasson, inventor of the digital camera, was recently awarded an Honorary Degree by the University of Rochester. See  this article.

     Tom, there are a few can claim a piece of that honour, see attached link of a humble Nova Scotian who received the Nobel Prize this year for his part of the discovery while working at a photo lab in the US.

I kind of doubted that the digital camera was invented in 1975. How could NASA be sending back still photos from outer space in the 60s?

    Just wanted you all to know that there is more up here than snow & igloos.  But until he was named Nobel Lauriet I would say less than 1% of Nova Scotians (including me) had ever heard of him.

Not the same thing. The cameras were analog and then the results were transmitted back to Earth.
