Paneling
« on: November 03, 2009, 02:00:30 AM »
Where's a good place to find that dark wood wall paneling that was used in the '70s? I have some water damage and various holes and pieces cut out. Thanks.

I  don't know but we are going to put paneling of some kind in the back where hubby decided to take it off to beef up the ladder on the outside.  We doubt we can put back up what is in there so going to go to Home Depot or Lowe's and find something close.  The RV place had some, it was $50 a sheet and really ugly.

You likely won't get an exact match but hopefully something similar.

Good luck

How could I forget, we have a mobile home remodeler in the town north of us.  He has all kinds of supplies we are going to check there for the paneling, might try that.

I live in a mobile home park and this ought to make you laugh:
Just about a month ago the house next door sold and got remodeled. They pulled out tons of the stuff but it didn't click in my head to grab any. I'd better start cruising my park looking for remodels.

If you can't find a match, get your replacement pieces from the inside of a closet, then re-do the closet with the non-matching replacement paneling.

Update with vinyl wall covering (wallpaper).
