As most of you know, we "poor" Canadians for various reasons are limited as to the time spent out of Canada, and time in the US.  As a result, we have taken to heading south around the first of December, meaning end of May return to Nova Scotia.
Well, in the words of Maxwell Smart, "we missed it by just that much".  We awoke to 2 inches of snow this morning, and I had to do that hated shovelling  Cry
I'm told that up at the cottage, where the coach is parked, there is 8 inches.  Hopefully there is a thaw before month end, or we'll have fun getting the coach onto the paved road.
Oh well it's only another 3 weeks  Grin then it's the 3:10 to Yuma

I am in Batesville Indiana, can't head much farther for 1.5 weeks

This morning the thing on the wall sayd 32.1F (about 0.05C) and the official temps were in the upper 20's... Now if you head north into Illinois they had 18 degrees warmer.

Radio Friend is fond of telling folks how to winterize (Strap on snow shovel drive south till someone says "What the devil is that" and then you know you made it)  He even told me that joke.

He forgot.. I told it to HIM! Smiley

Ed,

We are in PA visiting with Chet & Laurie Parks. We leave tomorrow morning for VA and the FL. As much as we love to visit with them we are anxious to get back to warm weather. It's supposed to be 27 degrees tonight!!!!!

Ed, hopefully the snow at Shediac will be gone by the time you get there but a trip south is a good decision.  We moved south a little quicker than we intended and are presently in Jacksonville FL, it's very difficult to find snow around here Smiley

Have a safe trip south and we'll check in now and then to see where you are and perhaps get together.

Cheers

Dale, we are planning to head out in a little lass than 3 weeks.  We are booked into Fortuna De Oro, about 10 miles east of Yuma from December 14 to March 14, then we hope to travel 3 months on the way home.  Our Tracfone should be working from the first of December, and I'm sure I gave you the number.
As far as I know it, Frank & Barb, and Betty & Tim Brewer winter in close proximity.  If there are other framily there I will find out in due course.
I'm told the Quartzsite Rally is something that needs to be done at least once in your RV lifetime.  It is in late January, which I think is too early for your plans to be west, but we are sure planning to be there.  If not then, I'm sure we will meet up.

Yes it is. :-)  Chet was trying to fire up the coal stove when we left. Still cool in VA but should be in the high 60's/low 70's today. We'll be on the road early tomorrow heading further south.

It seems to me that Halloween was the signal, I'm in Florida and the park we are in has filled up by about 50% in the last week.

I got lucky to get a temporary job here in the Tampa area so i can use this method of winterizing. The last 2 years i was in KC and had to heat tape the water hose and keep the furnace running.

As usual we are visiting relatives here in Palisade CO for a couple of months. We will leave right after Thanksgiving and head south to AZ (Bouse - about 24 miles from Quartzsite).

It's usually a little colder than I like by the time we leave but we don't want to miss Thanksgiving with the family.
