This year I had to make do with the photos as Im down with the dreaded "Man Flu" (AKA a cold).
For those interested, the Floats are usually driven by a guy sat hidden somewhere toward the front and they have a very small window to see out of - hence all the road marshalls with mikes/headphones to help direct things.
There is usually a huge generator at the rear of the floats - often the size of a C-Class RV.
On Sunday night there was a free firework display along the promenade, which was so loud the RV shook a few times.
