RV Parks In/Around Seattle
« on: November 15, 2009, 05:12:10 PM »
Hi All -

Sue and I want to stay in Seattle for two or three days in December for a little Xmas shopping/friend pestering.  Anyone got a suggestion on where we can stay in a 45 footer?

What part of Seattle are you interested in?  I used to live in the northern suburbs and there are a couple of parks that I'm familiar with up there.

Harbour Pointe RV Park and Lakeside RV Park are almost next door to each other, on Hwy 99 at Airport Rd in Everett, a couple of miles north of the I-5, I-405 junction.   Both take 45 ft. rigs.  I-5 will get you to downtown Seattle, I-405 goes to the eastside.

I used to live there as well (in Issaquah) and I know of two campings near Seattle

There is one in Kent in the valley just south of where I-405 runs into I-5.
- Seattle/Tacoma KOA 800 562-1892

There is another one in Issaquah just off of I-95 and the junction of Front street.
- Issaquah Village RV park 800 258-9233. This one gives you a straight shot into Seattle going down I-95

This is about as close as you are going to get to down town Seattle.

Knowing how tight it was for us getting a 40' Tradewinds into Seattle KOA I am not sure I would recommend it for a 45 footer.

Thanks to all for the help!  Well take a look at these online.  Sounds like most will get Sue to within serious creditcard damage distance from a major mall.

To do that take the m/h up to the Tulalip Casino in Marysville for the weekend. They have RV parking, good food, and an upscale outlet mall as part of their development.
