It needs "some" work
so far, I washed it. I didn't have a real camera this weekend so I don't have any good pics for my questions.
I think I will have lots of questions in the remodeling section when I get to that stage, but I need to make sure everything is legit with the body, drivetrain, brakes, and suspension first. Until all that is done, I won't be ready to start sealing all of the leaks. There is a lot of water damage, and I will be replacing a lot of the wood inside, even if it's not damaged. This includes the areas where the windows are attached.
I'm not too worried about the side windows right now, but I would like to make sure the roof doesn't leak. It's standing on a tarp right now, but I will need to drive it to mechanics, junkyards, and other unsavory places. On the roof there is a vent and two other holes. For the vent, is there any way to temporarily seal it? I don't want to do a good job cleaning it and putting eternabond on just to take it off later when I replace the interior roof.
As for the two holes, what are they and can I cover them for now? They seem to be two rubber hoses 1 inch in diameter, with an area around each one cut away from the roof. Something round was mounted over each one, but both of them are gone. I thought they might be vents for the grey/black tank, but it's odd that there are two and only one tank. Inside the RV they go somewhere into the wall. Can anyone identify what these are?
