2010 FMCA International Rally in Albuquerque, NM, March 2010

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The Abq FMCA rally will be on our way home so we could easily do a pre-rally rally or even a post-rally rally.

We have a B van. So would we be able to come and go as we wish, or would we be stuck in our spot?

I've usually seen the Roadies parked together and getting in and out seemed OK.

We've registered. Electric. Looking forward to meeting, greeting, eating, learning.

There have been a few responses to your original post. We are going, the Brewers are going, I believe the Lawrences are going, and I believe others as well. Bob Maxwell has indicated hosting a pre-rally dinner at Garbriel's on Sunday nite.

We would like to attend a RVForum get together if there is one!  :)  By the posts, it was going to be discussed at the QZ rally I think.  So we would meet at Garbriel's?  Are non-"Framily" members invited?  ;)

I wasn't at the QZ rally when it was discussed, but I was informed that it was discussed.

All Forumites are Framily (aside: that's why the moderators work so hard keeping the discussions civil ;D ;D ). Of course you are invited. I am sure Bob will be posting more info as the rally gets closer. Keep monitoring this thread.

Mark and Teresa, You're here, on the Forum, so you're Framily and of course you're invited.

We plan on being there. Bob maybe something closer to Q would make it easier.

Actually Jeff,

When Bob and I met with calendar in hand during a wet rainy Quartzsite afternoon,  we looked at Thursday 3/18 or 3/19 as possible Gabrielle dinner.  Most come in early to the FMCA Rally.  Bob was going to contact Gabrielles to see  which night might work better.  I'm sure he will see this message and chime in.

Betty:

We have credentials to enter Saturday AM which I thought was the earliest entry so we will probably plan on arriving sometime Friday to join up with the group. I suggested to Bob at the QZ pot luck that if we are all going to go in together we woud be parked by noon and would have Saturday afternoon and evening free to get together.

If Gabriel's is Bob's choice that is fine.

Betty,

We are leaving HT Friday AM and should arrive at the holding area before 5PM on Friday the 19th. Our entry date is also for Saturday AM.

Friends of the framily are always welcome --why when Bob Buchanan arrived at the  current Tyson Wash QZ Rally site there were two rigs already present, one an early framily arrival and a 5w parked at the fire pit-gathering location.

Thanks to Bob's friendly exchanges and that of the other framily member, we had a new addition to the framily before more members arrived! ;D

OK folks a phone call today  prompted me to get details from hubby.  (It is his turn to make the  plans for the year.)
We will leave Yuma on Friday March 19 and spend the night in Meteror Crater Campground.  It  is a Passport America  Park with easy pull through access. It is 35 miles east of Flagstaff on Interstate  40.  Phone 1 800 478-4002. They have a Mexican Restaurant in the Clubhouse.

In the morning we will drive the additional 290 miles into  Albuquerque for a 3/20 Saturday afternoon  arrival in  the generator section.
This breaks up the drive into Albuquerque from  Western AZ.  So now you know where we will be .  Join us if you like.

Sorry Bob, I did not know we would not be there on Friday for your pre-rally festivities but  there are lots of days so I'm sure we can get something going.  Wonder if there is anything scheduled on Sunday  night?

Betty

I have an appointment at the Abq VA on 3/17 so we will probably arrive on 3/16 and stay somewhere near there then maybe to the Belen WalMart or up to Sandia Casino. Entry into the balloon grounds on Saturday.

Sunday night is Gabriel's. 5.30 happy hr, 6.30 dinner --it's in this thread somewhere.

I just had an angiography and the results show positive and I may be a candidate for a bypass. . . ;) Leota drove me here after coming up from Socorro, picking me up waiting for results .
