We are considering the purchase of the 2008 Latitude Diesel.  39W with a king bed and less than 7,000 miles.  We haven't taken it on the road yet.  Please add comments, good or bad.  Handling, problems etc.  Thanks, Joe

Joe - welcome to rvforum!  Please take a couple of minutes and say hi to everybody in the Introduce Yourself board.

What chassis are you looking at - Workhorse or Freightliner?

We are looking at the Freightliner.  We have an 07 Safari Simba at this time, but we are not happy with it.  Some years ago we had a gas Itasca Suncruiser and it rode better than this Simba.  The Simba looks great, but that's all.

No unusual issues with the Freightliner chassis that I'm aware of.  They ride quite well and you have Freightliner dealers all over the place.  Can't think of any unusual house issues.

Should be a very good rig - give it a good test run over a variety of road conditions.

In 2007 the Simba was made as a gas coach, front diesel and rear diesel.

Assuming you have the RD version check the ride height and tire air pressure. Both effect the ride. Dealers rarely check the rise height, but it is a simple fix.

Both the Freightliner and the Simba RD are 4 air bag, rail mounted systems. As this is Freightliners primary configuration, they might be better at this design.

What is the setup for the House Batteries... type, number, voltage...?  thanks.

Two 6 volt for the house and two 12 volt for the chassis and a small solar panel.  I don't recall the size.
