Just purchased a 1992 Class C Shasta 28 and everything works except the top amber and red clearance lights.  The previous owner snipped off all the old tail light wires and tapped into existing wires with new tail lights.  Love these type of fixes as I have all kinds of wires exposed in the back.

My question is how do I find the clearance light wires so I can troubleshoot?

Go to the clearance light itself and remove it. Then you can see what color wires they are. That should make it easier to get them going.

Then try having someone pull very carefully on the clearance light wire and see if it moves down below.

thanks I willl try this.  The rear lights have more play in the wires so they should be the same.  Sure it is just a loose ground somewhere.
