Who says you can't have an RV-Forum mini-rally anywhere? As we were leaving Mittry Lake to go for an In-n-Out fix, who should pass us going the other way but Ed and Donna. So we pulled over to the side of the road and yacked for about an hour....roadside rally. Sorry, no pictures but it was fun anyway.

You can find Framily anywhere :)

Wendy,

Several years ago we were headed west on I-10 with the Nathans. The Dobrins were headed east. I knew they might be close so I called Bernie. They were about an hour west of Deming, NM. We were about an hour east of Deming. We met at a restaurant in Deming for lunch. Had a great time and then we both went our separate ways.

My first encounter with Gary Lee and Mr. V was along the road near Jackson, Wy.  All the stories about the Trek and Purple Grape came to mind when his rig passed me going the other way.  Thankfully, he had his CB radio on and we were able to stop and have a chat.

Hi Bernie,

Sorry about that. :) I like to tell it as well. It's amazing how small the world gets once you start RVing.

We met Joe Frost after passing by his MH going the other way in Alaska. He was pulled over so we pulled over a 100 yards further and walked back. Learned about all the best restaurants. Later that trip in we passed Gordie in whistler's Campground while looking for a site. He ran around his rig and just about jump in front of us.

We met Phil and Doris the first time on the Alpine road in Rocky Mt. National Park.  They were having lunch when Jerry spotted them.  Bashful Jerry (!) knocked on their door and the rest is history.

Last May, Tim and I were on our way to Indiana and then heading into Canada for our Atlantic Maritimes summer trip.  We stopped in at a vistor's center rest stop.  (For the life of me I can't remember where), and Tim said there's Betty.  About that time she spotted us.  I was needing the Atlantic Canada travel book, so out of her coach she walked and said "here, special delivery"; along with a big hug.  It was so fun.

Marsha,

It was in Colorado .  I recall  because they had a winery at the Visitor Center.

Must have been Fruita. Good Colorado wines there.

We said just after we left you that we didn't pull the camera out to make it official.  We had a nice day backroading after we left you.  We went up the California side of the lake by the Imperial Dam, saw hundreds of boondockers, went down through lots of BLM roads, capped of with a famous date shake on the way to the concert at the Quartermaster Depot, followed by a swim in the pool to cool off from the 80 degree weather.

I think we followed a similar path today. Went up and over the dam into California. Did a bunch of geocaches and saw some very interesting spots along the America Canal and some river (?). Stopped at Paradise Casino for Monday's free $10 play for 55+. Spent $2 of our own and gave them back their $10 each. We didn't come home and take a swim but Gordon did - lab+lake=happy dog.
