Was visiting the Palo Verde Community College on the West side of Blythe, CA last week and discovered a part of that areas economy I wasn't aware of. Seems the land is ideally suited for alfalfa growth plus they have water from the Colorado. They also raise sheep that feed on the rich fields of alfalfa.

Looking across one field of grazing sheep, I noticed a single little white lamb playing amoung the big guys, but also staying close to his/her mom. After about 1/2 hour of waiting for him to come close to the fence and road, was able to catch THIS image from the other side of the road.

And THIS image is of an alfafa field beside one of the many irrigation canals that wend thru the area.
