New here, posted on the travel trailer section. I am a competitive bbqer and was looking at getting something I can sleep in, have A/C in the Texas heat, shower, and some comfort - sleeping in the back of an SUV has gotten old, plus my daughters are old enough to enjoy the contests now. So, I currently have a 800lb smoker mounted on a trailer and was thinking of buying a toy hauler with a garage and rolling it out at contests. However, I have a SUV that is rated at 9100 lbs towing and it seems that a lightweight toy hauler loaded with the smoker and supplies is going to max it out. I looked at some Class A's earlier in the week and they were huge and $$$.
The next option would be a class C. I would be looking for used, be able to sleep 6 which with a class C and overhead sleeping it should not be a problem. I would like to spend $35k or less. Any recommendations and what watchouts should I look for when shopping?
What a great forum you have here.
Thanks in advance.
