Changing com port on a bluetooth device
« on: March 07, 2010, 07:34:01 PM »
OK, have an iPaq bluetooth GPS, it is in NMEA 0183 ver 2.2, so should talk to Streets & Trips.  However, when it pairs it comes in as Com 11, but S&T wants 3 or 4.  Anyone have an idea?  I have googled all over, played with all kinds of settings, just haven't found it.  Had the unit for quite awhile, and have misplaced the docs.  Can't even find the docs on the web.  It is a BT 308.

Any ideas?

I had a bluetooth and was never able to get it to talk to either S&T or Copilot. Tried for days and finally gave up. Got rid of the bluetooth and went back to a USB GPS. Works all the time and no frustration.  ;)
