I want to put a cat tree in our coach so that Oreo can climb on it, use it at a scratching post, etc. The WHERE is the question. Ideas, suggestions would be welcome. No, we are NOT getting rid of Oreo, she is family. :)

TIA,
Liz

We have one of the looks like cardboard scratching pads that we lean against the engine doghouse. After a little catnip in the holes, Taz has used it a lot. We wouldn't go anywhere without Taz and out dog Jake.

I saw a show on "extreme RV's" one time and one couple built a passage from a kitchen cabinet to one of the basement storage bins in their Class A. I think they had several cats - the bin became their own little playpen - they had a scratching post and all kinds of other goodies down there. It even had screen/plexiglas (with air holes) on it so the outside door could be opened for fresh air when they were parked. A bit extreme but really cool!

haha..Joe I remember that episode as well.  I bit extreme and scary....hahaha

We put poly-carb in our screen door and installed a cat door for Taz, that way we can leave the main door open and she can go and come without letting all the AC or heat out.

Howdy.
Thank you for the replies. I have been looking on the internet for some ideas for a cat tree for Oreo. Saw a few expensive ones but none really applicable for our coach. Oreo is an indoor cat. She would run off or get hit by a car if she ever got outside the coach. I"ll keep looking.

We take our two cats on every camp out.  They have kitty strollers http://www.tpigman.com/MOD09/46.JPG and can sit in them if they feel scared or we want to take them for a walk.  They also wear harnesses and drag 15 foot lines that are never connected to anything as they can easily back out of the harness if they want.  http://www.tpigman.com/TT/62.JPG  If you like cats as much as we do, you may enjoy our cat pages on my web site.  http://www.tpigman.com/

A very long time ago, I remember seeing a picture (probably one of the RV magazines) where a couple carpeted the pedestal of their dinette table.  The cat probably could not climb up it, but certainly did use it to scratch on.  Just a thought.
