Bought a 09 Tahoe LS last year and I am interested in getting an RV. The truck is stock with towing package, 4.8L engine, and it says it's towing capacity is 4500 lbs. I really like the Surveyor SP-224T, and it's dry wt is 3574 lbs. Typically it would be me and my girl in the truck. Most all travel will be in NC or surrounding states. My question is would the truck handle this trailer once it is loaded down in the mountains and highway travel. Would it be to close to even consider towing once it's loaded. Of course salesman thinks that truck's towing capacity is higher, but it is the base model Tahoe. What are everyone's opinion? Thanks.
