Computer History.
« on: April 05, 2010, 02:42:13 PM »
A man I met once, and one of the true pioneers of computers died last week in Cochran Georgia.

Dr. Henry Roberts, the man that Bill Gates and Paul Allen got their inspiration from developed the MITS Altiar 8800.

I built one, don't know what happened to it. I still have a home built computer in the attic that uses an 8800.

Yes, it was all over the internet news last week.  He didn't stay with computers for very long but went on to become a medical doctor.
