We're reminded by the Sierra Drifters fish report that there are only a few days remaining to the Movember 15th end to the general trout fishing season for a number of Eastern Sierras fisheries. You can sign up online for their newsletter at http://www.sierradrifters.com/mailing_list.htm

FYI I've never received a single item of junk mail from these folks.
 
I believe fishing in Spring creek near Lewistown Montana is open all year round.  I have seen in the 60/s fly fisherman fishing in Spring Creek near the bridge we cross to go to the Bar 19 fishing with ice on their lines.  The creek never freezes over.  Now I like to fish but I think when the ice forms the season may just as well be closed. ;D ;D
 
LOL Ron, I've fished for trout when it was snowing and I've scraped ice off the windshield of the boat to go striper fishing.
