Western Canadians (And many others planning to travel off the pavement in Alberta and BC) may be familiar with the Backroad Mapbook series. Well, I just bought a new Garmin n?vi265WT and also the Backroad Mapbook GPS SD card. The card slips into the slot on your GPS and viola, you have the Backroad Mapbook with all the features of a GPS. You can select the lake you want to go to, and the GPS will guide you there. No more trying to figure out which of the new logging roads veering off to the left is the one you should take. No more wandering off road trying to guess how you are getting back to the main road. You have all the other information found in the mapbooks as well, fishing synopsis, camping information, paddling routes, trails, etc. You can get each mapbook (Vancouver Island, Lower Mainland, etc.) for about 30 bucks, or do like i did and get the whole province for $150.
