Gary and Maria - Thanks for letting us know you're the first one to arrive.  You can check in the rest of us!  ::)  We'll arrive Sunday afternoon, along with the rest of the crew who are at Monument Valley.

Will do.  Of course, there will be a small fee.  Quite nice in Moab today.  In honor of those of you who have braved the Moab Weather Gods before, a bit of off-road challenging rain will be arriving shortly after you set up.

Gary

Well, I don't want any 4WD runs to get rained out in Moab but I sure would like it to rain on Cortez while we're gone so my grass and lettuce and herbs get happy.

See ya all tomorrow. We'll probably be last to arrive because we have so far to travel :) Oh, wait, ceemike is traveling the same distance but I'm sure he'll be there before we even leave :)

Wendy

We arrived a day earlier as planned at Portal and they gave us site # 4 (Sorry Terry) but I'm sure Russ will enjoy having new neighbours. I'm sure Betty will be happy to move to the prime site section so that she does not have to cheat going to the pool and spa at the prime site.
Just said hello to Gary and Maria who are  just across the road from us at site # 19.
We had quite an experience with buying new tires but will explain later. It's now time for a visit at the brewery. See you all to morrow.

Chris & Mimy

Wish we could have been there with everyone. Our travel plans got thwarted somewhat by other events this year. We have fond memories of several Moab rallies with Framily, and we'll be thinking of you all.

BTW will Betty be dressing Chris Pennings in drag this year?

I'm sure Betty will have a suitable punishment for Chris taking her campsite ! Now, who else could she dress up in drag....hmmmmm.

Wendy

Well, looks like I'm stuck in Pahrump until tomorrow - the storage lot where I left my motorhome closed early today - at noon instead of their published 5 PM.  So I'm in the Best Western tonight and will head to Moab starting at mid-day Sunday.

See you all on Monday.

Lou

Tom,

If Betty kicks met out of site # 4 and have me moved to the prime site she will not have enough fashionable clothing with her to drag dress me up to perform for the members on the other side of the fence. Wish Wally was here to help me out :)

Wendy, I wasn't sure we'd even be leaving Cortez on Sunday.  I spent 2 hours yesterday afternoon/evening getting my main awning to roll up & latch so I could travel.  When I rolled the awing up it would rack & the arms wouldn't align so I could latch them.  We had planned to go to the Ute Mountain Casino but after my awning adventure I didn't feel like that anymore. :(  Like I said before, if it ain't one thing it's another when you own a motorhome.  C U later today.

Ceemike
My awning ill do that too, you get the hang of anticipating the direction and a gentle persuasion will align as it is rolling.  I can usually get it the by the third try.

Bill, Thanks for the tip. When I get to Moab I'll practice doing what you said.  Maybe I'll try to get a personal lesson from you when we get to Yellowstone next month.  :)
Mike Wagner

My wife and I are getting excited about Moab and meeting many new people.  I have a busy couple of days at work and then we will be there Thursday around noonish.  I hope everyone travels safely and arrives without problems.

Does anyone have an itinerary yet for the latter part of the week as far as 4wd trails or hiking?  Or is this a wing it group?  Just curious, Mike.

Looks like there may be some musical coach thing goin' on - we are actually in M20 - never have been parked at a three story casita before, however..

Wish I had invested in a wind generator, though... 8)

Let's rally!

Please help us solve a knotty problem.

Mary Ann has a knitting project almost finished but needs 2 double pointed number 2 knitting needles to wrap it up.  If you are at Moab and can lend her these needles for a couple of days it would make my life much easier!

Thanks!

Don

Mike,

You might have a set screw missing at the awning rail so the fabric isn't lined up properly. That can shift the arms slightly. They usually put one at one end of the awning at the rail on the coach.

Thank you for the well wishes.  Mom slipped away peacefully this morning with all of her children at her bedside.  She had been in ill health for a long while so we are thankul that shes at peace and not hurting anymore.
