Looking to purchase a 26' Trail - Lite travel trailer. Weight about 3900#.

Tow vehicle: 2001 Toyaota 4-Runner 2WD, which has a tow rating of 5000#. GVWR 5250

Hitch Type: Weight Distributing - Max Trailer Weight 5500# - Tongue Weight 550#
Weight Carrying - Max Trailer Weight 3500# - Tongue Weight 350#

Receiver: V-5

How will this vehicle tow travel trailer???

It won't.  I had a Toyota 4x4 pkup with the v-6 and 5 speed.  Got a 24 ft lite trailer that was supposed to be less that 5000 lbs but I never weighed it.  Sure it would pull it down the road, but there was nothing comfortable about it and often would need to pull in 4th gear.  Ended up with a dodge 1500 that pulled it a lot better.

If the actual, measured weight of the Trail-lite is 3900 lbs when ready to travel, you are probably ok. Of that's the brochure "dry" weight, you are going to be overloaded when ready for the road. Not badly overloaded, but probably to the point where you will be unhappy, if not actually unsafe.

A 2011 Trail-lite 26 weighs about 4400 lbs empty and over 5000 lbs when ready to travel, even if you load very lightly. The 3900 lb figure is the weight carried on the trailer axles - not the total unladen weight.  You can't reasonably tow 5000 lbs, even with just you alone in the truck. Add a passenger and some gear and you are well over limit.
